WELCOME TO VIRTUAL EMS FOR BELMONT UNIVERSITY!
The Event Management System (EMS) tool provides the Belmont community a way to view space availability and submit reservation requests for campus spaces.
Please note that the look of Virtual EMS will continue to change as new features and help text are added to improve system functionality. If you experience any issues with Virtual EMS, you may need to clear your browser cache in order to resolve the problem. How to Request a Virtual EMS Account:
Only Belmont faculty, staff and recognized student organizations may reserve space on campus through this system, which requires a log in. Please request an account through the "Create An Account" link under the My Account menu above. When your account request has been submitted and approved, use the "Log In" option in the My Account menu to access Virtual EMS.
To Submit a Request for Space:
Once logged in, a new Reservations menu will appear. Currently you may request space using one of two forms: "Classroom Request Form" and "Event Space Request Form." Further directions are found within each form.
To Search for Available Space:
You are able to view tentative space availability using the "Browse for Space" link in the Browse drop-down menu. Use the "Filter" link on the upper-right hand side of the room grid to select specific buildings or rooms. Please note that this feature does not guarantee space availability. Please do not plan events based on visible availability. The room must be formally requested through the appropriate scheduler and the reservation confirmed via email.
To Search for Scheduled Meetings/Events:
Select "Browse" from the menu above and click on the "Browse Events" link in the drop-down menu. Use the "Filter" link on the upper-right side of the calendar to select which items you would like to search by, including date, building, room, event type (e.g. breakfast, student organization, concert, etc) or event title.
To View Building Information and Room Capacities:
Select "Room Capacities and Features" from the drop down "Browse" menu in the above menu bar. Facilities are listed by building and room codes. Use the "Filter" link on the upper-right side of the page to select which items you would like to search by, including building, room type and/or set-up type (e.g. the rooms options for configuration which may include theater style, hollow square, round tables of 8, etc).
